What do you feel is the best match for the jazz neck. I currently have the JB in the bridge position, and it is way to shrill for my tastes. I will be changing it out this weekend so I will be able to enjoy my LP instead of dreading picking it up. I want a well balanced full sound in the bridge that handles distortion well and great pinch harmonics are a plus. I posted this thread earlier and mentioned I wanted a more vintage output but I wanted to open it up to all available options. Thanks to Lew, Theodie, and Luke Duke for your previous responses.
Help me old wise ones
Hanky
i like the duncan custom with a jazz neck with a 250k vol pot.
He wants more of a lower output pickup. My choice was a custom custom which is alot lower output than a custom. Personally, I think its a medium output bucker. I noticed it had a tad more output than the PG bridge but, not by much. Hanky, I still think the custom shop EVH will be perfect for ya but, $160 is a little bit of money for a pickup.
I have not tried one but, I think stratdeluxer97 has a scremin demon that he put double rows of standard pole pieces in. I think that fattened it up. I would PM him or maybe he will chime in. Here ya go,

i believe the dc and cc is essentially the same pickup with different magnets therefore output should be closely similar.

Not really, the magnet is a big part of the equation when it comes to output. Look at the tone chart. Its not just based on DC resistance alone.
IMO almost ANYTHING is a good match for a Jazz neck...I see that you are not looking for lots of output...how about asomething simple...59b!
Sounds like a custom, or a custom-5.
What about a Screamin Demon?
