So my girlfriend has made me a nice fancy vest for my Symphony concerts and such, but today at Walmart we got an idea. What about making a funky cloth cover for my guitar. Made of some really soft material that's fuzzy or whatever I wanted! Anybody know of anyone that makes these? I would really like to have a black cloth cover for my schecter cuz the paint is already getting worn down since it's just a satin finish. Sound like a good idea? Pointers? But I'd really like to know if anybody makes these!
They were out in the 80's and were called AxSak's or something like that. I think they paid Jennifer Batten to endorse them, her big credit at the time was working with Michael Jackson.
They were about as useless as tits on a bull then. I'm not thinking anything much has changed since.

The idea was to save the finnish from scratches....

Which is why I want one made, to save my beautiful schecter from wear. It'll be covered in black with the material bein a slight fuzz. Just pimp, and maybe some others made in different colors.
A guitar-cozy, eh? Sounds pretty awful.
Sounds like an odd idea. Why not just put the guitar in it's case after your done playing? That's what i do with mine, but it's pretty dinged up from playing shows anyways, it adds character. Just my opinion.
If you put a fuzzy cover on it you will probably get lots of static electricity discharge from rubbing against you.
Snowdog
1. The Axe Sack, or whatever was, was form fitting like a showercap with elastic. Nice idea, I suppose. Spandex for your geetar!
I bought a damn cheapo $500 Epi a month ago, and quot;my first dingquot; is gonna piss me off when it happens!
I'm personally more concerned about why you were shopping in Wal-mart, than about these guitar socks.
They offer goods at lower prices. Duh.
Why not make your little guitar baggy match your fancy pants vest?

There is nothing wrong with Walmart, I live right next to one. This isn't Cali. Jeff, we aren't rich movie stars here in Tenn haha. Got some nice black velvet fabric for it, and oddly it WILL match my vest she made as well haha. Next step, a furr cover perhaps?

Is the color going to match your purse and ****** too?
Now, just paint a portrait of Elvis Presley as Christ in The Last Supper on that black velvet and you'll truly be doing our home state proud.
haha nah, the black is the color the schecter is so it wont be anything drastic. I actually found leather covers that were made for elvis, looked like something out of a bad western. Whether you all like it or not, my Damien 6 is already showing big signs of wear on the paint, getting very shiny where it's being worn down. And since it doesn't have a clear coat it's not taking the work it gets put through well. I want to protect it, why not make it look good while I'm at it. And your all thinking---gt; lt;--- about this idea, but just remember, I play a freakin quilt top purple guitar and play in a prog metal band in a sea of emo bands, I can't get any wierder. I like being myself when it comes to my music and style.
I think the first thing anybody should do with a new guitar is throw it down a flight of stairs and get over it. IT'S A PIECE OF WOOD KILL IT
