If I would have a tech install this for me, will it still intonate properly if I change my tuning and intonate it at the bridge? I mean, if I usually have my guitar in standard tuning and want to drop it to D, would I have to do anything with the nut or will it work as usual?
I've heard these things have some intonation problems as is. I'd go Feiten or stick with standard.

The Earvana is designed as a mass compensation add-on.You will get slightly closer to temper tune but, without proper compensation you will run into problems.
I'm biased towards Feiten,(go figure ),for a number of reasons.
1-The Feiten compensates the nut
2-It uses temper tuning
3-It balances out these by using a recalculation of the guitars owns dimensions
4-The calculations are specific to each guitar, not just the make or model, but each one.
However it can be pricey,so if you're looking to improve your overall sound but can't afford it for a while then Earvana will be an improvement.
I've got an Earvana installed and there was a marked improvement in intonation in standard A440. Dropped D seemed fine too (but its been a while since I last intonated it!). If you can afford it tho, the Buzz Feiten seems like a great idea. More pricey, but the Earvana's not a bad substitute.
about how much is the buzz feten thing, and where can you get it done?
At the Fuzz Beiten megotnotationshop
At any builder who has a certificate to make it, personally I don't like it much, chords sounds wrong to me for some reason...
I think the Earvana system is a great choice for the price. I've never used the Feiten system, but I have two guitars with an Earvana nut and on both of them, every note is in perfect or very close to perfect tuning all the way up and down the neck. You need to make sure you're using a strobe tuner to get the best results. It will work for non-standard tunings, but you will have to have the slots widened if you're using strings heavier than 10-46.

Thanks. The buzz feiten is too expensive I'm afraid cos I'm getting new pickups and some other things. And I play with 10-52 but I wont install it myself anyway and I guess it wont be much of a problem for a professional tech.
