Could mid '90 strat texas hot sound bad ??

I have a doubt.
My Antiquity Strat Custom Bridge was out of order and had to be changed.
So I bought a new one and installed it.
What a surprise ! The 4th position is now realy better, better then the second one !
More punchy,round, brighter but not arch a realy goot quot;texasquot; sound.
So this custom bridge seems to be really better then my old broken '96 one.
Could it be the same for the two others ? I bought them in 1996 and always found them a little bit to dark. They need to be played at a very high volume to express themself in a good way.
Would I have a good surprise changing them with more recent ones ??
