Non master volume amps

I always use pedals to get my OD/Distortion. I was wondering what amps are out there in the $300-$700 with no master volumes. I basically just like a standard vol, bass, mid, treb layout , through in a pedal and let it scream.

Seafoamer has a used Fender Deluxe Reverb re-issue for sale within that price range......good amps.

I just picked up a Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb...it's 40 watts, 2x10's, built in reverb and tremolo...the verb is not as wet as most fender amps but it is a great verb IMO. I will say this...if your looking for clean headroom keep looking, this amp was designed to break up fast, very fast for a 40 watt amp but if you want a good crunchy amp that taked pedals very well and works great if you use your volume control on your guitar this is an amp you should look into...I will say this though...if you go try a new one out keep in mind that the stock speakers are good but not great and the stock tubes make the amp very bright and very hissy...new tubes and better speakers are a muct IMO. I got mine used but in very, very good shape with NOS power tubes and new preamp tubes all around as well as a set of Kendrick blackframe 10's for a great price...try one new, see what you think then shop around for a good used one.

Find yourself and old Fender Bassman head. The early Silverface models for 68-approx 72 have the old circuit, can be had cheap and take pedals pretty well. Old Marshalls do as well but it might be tough finding one in that proce range.

Get a 60s or early 70sTraynor Bassmaster or Bassmate and you will have just a fantastic amp head. I got four of them and am amazed at just how great they are. They need just a couple very simple tweaks, ( switch to 1 meg volume pots, and a couple cap changes to get a bit more grind and lower mids going). How these amps are as cheap as they are, I have no idea. They are right there with Hiwatt in terms of build quality, and can hang with any amp on the market.

There's lots of great amps in that price range but I'd look for a '74 Fender silverface Deluxe Reverb, Vibrolux Reverb, Pro Reverb, Super Reverb, etc.

Supers are yummy. I love the sound of those 4 10quot; speakers.

I'll second the Fender Bassman idea. I have a '68, and I love it! It was cheap, sounds killer clean, and handles my Maxon 808 OD reissue overdrive pedal very well!
