Rio BBQ

How is this pup? Im looking to do something diff in a guitar. I currently use a Custom, 3 custom 5s, a Custom 4, Blues trembucker, and numerous Duncans in the neck positions. I have a new (to me) guitar that Im looking for a diff flavor. Old Kramer. 25.5 scale, Kahler, Alder body.
How does the BBQ compare to say a C5?

How would one sound in a Les Paul?? Muddy?
Thanks!!

I had one of these in my Driskill and have one word to describe it: Middy.
It has a big midrange hump that you'll probably either love or hate. Dunno if it'll be too muddy in a LP but it'll definitely enhance the mid-heavy nature of the guitar.

Hmmm.. So if one doesnt care for a CC, then one may not care for th BBQ??
Thanks..

Dunno. Never played a CC.

If you haven't done so, I'd advise you to do a search. Lotsa info on BBQs on the board.

Get yourself an Alnico 8 and put in one of your C5. More Alnico sounding than a Custom but more cut than C5. Thats the real deal!

The bridge pickup in this video is a Rio Grande BBQ.

from : localhost/me jammin' to a CD.

Hamerfan,
