does the jb humbucker have alot of distortion like the sh6? if the sh6 has more distortion how much alittle or a lot? is the sh4 a good pickup? which one is better for speed metal and like randy rhoads stuff? do the hot rails have alot of distortion like the sh6? thanks mark

the amout of distortion is infuenced by the output of a pup, higher output will give a more distorted tone than a lower output pup. however the amount of distortion is, in my mind, usually more determined by the type of amp involved.
if you have almost enough, a new pup can get you where you need to be, not to mention get you better tone
the distortion has more output than the jb, the hot rails probably has a little more output than the jb but doesnt have the same fatness that a full size bucker has

Both the JB amp; Distortion are killer pickups. If gain is your goal, it's really hard to go wrong with either one.

Try the JB, and if it's too mild, trade it back in for the Distortion.
