6. Elixir
7. PRS
8. Snarling Dogs
9. D'Addario
10. Other

d'addario

GHS Boomers- 10's. But in a pinch I'll use anything.

dr

GHS.....10's and zakk's boomers

Dean Markley Blue Steels, .010-.046. Those are my favorite. I also like Fender strings.

Dean Markley Signature 10-46

Dean Markley Blue Steels 11-52 for Standard tuning.
Everly X-Rockers 13-65 for the range from C# to B (but mostly C Stadard)

Newtone!!!

Ernie Ball slinky's 09-42's

Gibson Brite Wires 10-46. I went through a bunch of the big name brand sbefore settling on these. Tone is great and lasts a long time, and more importantly they hold up really well on the TOM saddles..I play pretty agressively and break alot of strings cos the wrap separates going over the saddle.

My Hamer came with fresh D'Adarrios, and like clockwork, they were coming apart there or the unwound strings gave way during a bend within a day or two. Brite Wires cured that.

I've got some Gibson pure nickel strings on the way to try, and I also like GHS boomers as a second choice to the Brite Wires.

For electric I like the Ernie Ball Super Slinkies.

For acoustic I use the Martin Clapton's Choice strings.

Both sets used by my idol, Eric Clapton

D'Addario EXL120 's
.0095, .0115, .016, .024, .034, .044
Slinky like 9's bottom end like 10's

D'Addarios, .10-.46.

D'addario 11a. I can't get used to anything else.

D'Addario or Ernie Ball Power

D'addario 10-52s

For standard tuning: Always Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky (9-46)! I have tried GHS/Markley/D'Addario/SIT/Gibson Pure Nickel and a number of others. EB's just seem to work for me.

My second axe (Epi LP), is a project as we speak. I bought it because I have grown tired of multiple tuning changes on my Gibson. This Epi will be tuned down quot;permanentlyquot;, so I will start with Ernie Ball quot;Light Top-Heavy Bottomsquot; (10-52), and go from there.

SIT is one strange string! The alloy seems to be a higher tension than others, and feels tighter and tighter the older they get. Not a favorite for a guitar, but I do like them on an electric bass.

Everly's - Nickel 10-52

Ernie Ball Power Slinkies (11s)
