from : localhost/64.34.167.227/SDToneWizard/Hummer/Track52.mp3since these are all done on the SAME guitar/amp/player
same heights and settings i guess they are a good way to hear these 4 models
which ONE do you like the best of these?
i like clip 2
definatly #2
Oh and I didn't listen to the end of the clips when the tell you the model.
EDIT: And just for kicks, number 3(JB) was my LEAST favorite.
#2 was my choice when Listening to only the sound clips
After listening to the end of the clips, I noticed that I picked out my favorite bridge humbucker Invaders are definetly for me!
Rock On!!!
the PATB-2 wasnt that great but the others were pretty good IMO

the JB sounds wrong on that clip?
mine sounded so much better i just dont get it?
i mean IF i were to use that clip as what a JB sounded like i would goquot;this is seymours best and most used pupquot;? WTF?
it is strange because for just those clips i liked the invader the best and in the real world(through my own rig} i hated it and love the CC and hate that clip of it??
I think clips are useles in most cases and this proves my point!
so is this to prove your point that pickups sound way diffrent in a live context than in a recorded one as you said in the EVO thread.

Thats EXACTLY what I thought. I've played a JB (in a c1 blackjack) through my mesa rig(f50 head and 1x12 3/4 back cab) and it sounded awesome. That clip sounded just wrong.
i part of it is because since the amp settings were the same for each pickup that many pickups were recorded out of their element.
I also bet none of you have the EXACT same set-up as them or the touch that player has.
With that said, 2 and 4.
I think number 2 and 4 IMO.
#1
But I'm not much of a high gain sort of guy.
I've never found those Duncan clips very useful BTW. Maybe I'm in the minority on this?

It appears everybody in this thread pretty much agrees with you buddy.
Rock On!
i think the clips are useful to conpare diffrences between seymour duncan pickups but it would have been better if they had had clips within a context in which the pickup is best used for
I liked #1 the best, then #3, then #4, then #2. The JB was too trebly and the invader was too bassy.
Whats bad is you hear one file first and you get this sound memory thing, then every sound after that sucks. what you should do is wait a day or somthing then try a different clip first you will base all the rest on the first one.
